The Glow Up Pledge™
Powered by the Youth Traffic Safety Town Hall™
The Glow Up Pledge™ is a powerful call to action for young people to take ownership of their safety, voice, and future. As part of the Youth Traffic Safety Town Hall® experience, this pledge represents a commitment to positive behavior, personal growth, and community awareness especially in how youth move through their neighborhoods.
Developed as a signature element of our trademarked Youth Traffic Safety Town Hall®, the Glow Up Pledge™ unites youth voices from across Washington, D.C. and beyond. Through real-time workshops, digital media, peer-led conversations, and community-based activations, participants pledge to:
Glow Up by making smart, safe decisions in traffic environments
Speak Up to stop violence and unsafe behavior in their schools and communities
Show Up for youth-led advocacy and creative expression in transportation safety initiatives
Whether they’re joining a field trip, filming content, or leading sessions at a resource fair, every young person who signs the Glow Up Pledge™ becomes a part of a growing movementrooted in CDMA Business Model 4E Cycle™ for Collaboration: Empower. Enrich. Engage. Explore.
From crosswalks to camera crews, the pledge is more than words it’s a platform for change. It reminds funders, families, and civic leaders that when youth are seen, heard, and supported they glow.
Join the movement. Take the pledge. Glow with purpose. Thank you DC Department of Recreation Services!
At the Youth Traffic Safety Town Hall®, we believe every experience matters. Whether you’re a student, parent, educator, or community partner your voice can spark change.
